Especially in the case of public buildings and public spaces, a location manager will help obtain permits and facilitate productions. Pre-printed application forms to obtain film permits are often available.
In most cases, the following information is required to apply for a permit: production company name and address, desired location(s), production schedule, staff list, number and types of vehicles on location, security requirements, as well as a short description of the scene(s).
Mandatory proof of insurance by the production company must cover potential damage and accidents.
