Austrian cemeteries are typically managed by the individual cemetery administrations or the local city administrations. Filming on location is approved if an attitude of piety is observed and the interests of the mourners and cemetery visitors are respected (filming of funerals is not allowed). Requests may be refused for filming on religious holidays, like All Saints Day, Christmas or Easter.
Among the cemeteries particularly worth viewing are the Vienna Central Cementary, the Doebling and the Nussdorf cemeteries in Vienna as well as the St.-Peters Cemetary in Salzburg.
